"Evidence of faith and art": Pictures and wood carvings from churches of Naoussatranslated

On the evening of Wednesday, October 14, the opening of the periodic exhibition entitled: "Evidence of faith and art" took place in the foyer of the Byzantine Museum of Veria. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania, Mr. Panteleimon, attended and greeted, while the Most Reverend Bishop of Domenikos, Mr. Athenagoras, announced to those present that among the holy relics recently returned from Bulgaria, reliquaries from our province are also included, giving the relevant historical information.
Then there was a presentation of the exhibition by the Head of EFA Imathia, Mrs. Georgia Stratoulis and her colleagues who took care of the maintenance of the works and the exhibition. A detailed tour followed.
The exhibition presents portable icons and wood carvings from the churches of Naoussa, works that bear witness to the artistic and spiritual life of the city since the end of the 16th century. These are important documents of post-Byzantine painting and woodcarving in Macedonia.
Your Excellency's Greeting:
The heroic city of Nausis is not only known and famous for the sacrifice and martyrdom of its inhabitants during the Revolution of 1822.
