August 18, 2026 · 1 min read

On Friday, August 21, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Floris, Prespa and Eordaia, Mr. Irenaios conducts his nomenclature. This year, however, he will not be celebrating as he is recovering from a respiratory infection. On Friday morning, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Panteleimonos of Florina, the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated from 7:30 to 9:00.

Those who wish, instead of gifts, can support the finishing works of the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi Florina.

Get well soon, Metropolitan Irenaeus. The respiratory infection sounds rough—hope the Liturgy at St. Panteleimon on Friday brings you some comfort even if you’re not celebrating name day. We’ll send something to the St. Paraskevi account instead of flowers.

May the bishop recover quickly. A respiratory infection is no joke, especially at his age. It's good that instead of celebrating, people flock to the church of St. Paraskeva, I will also transfer a little to that IBAN.
