Timothy of Thessalio: Our Lady opens the heavenly way for ustranslated

With particular enthusiasm and in the spirit of the spiritual preparation for the great feast of the Dormition and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, on the evening of Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the evening of Vespers and the Holy Prayer was held in the Holy Church of Agios Georgios Phylaktis, under the patronage of the Most Reverend Metropolitan Thessaliotidos and Fanariofersalon Mr. Timotheu. During the Holy Prayer, the theological meaning of the great feast of August was developed, an entire month dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which gradually leads the faithful to the culmination of August 15.

As it was pointed out, "through these Holy Masses, of the Orthrus and of the daily Divine Liturgy, of Vespers and of the Prayer, with the psalms which have been composed by reverend spiritual fathers and teachers and have been sung by hymnologists and hymn writers of our Church, they help us spiritually for this preparation and spiritual struggle".

At the same time, it was emphasized that the feast of the Virgin does not end on August 15, but continues until August 23, when the feast is celebrated.
