On Thursday, August 6 (Feast of the Transfiguration), the Metropolitan Holy Church of the Transfiguration of Sotiros Naousis celebrated. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania, Mr. Panteleimon officiated, preached the divine word and at the end, according to church custom, blessed the fruits of the vine.

His Excellency's Speech:

"This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; listen to him."

Feast of the divine Transfiguration today and our Church celebrates the miracle experienced by the three disciples of our Lord on Mount Tabor, when they saw the face of Christ shining like the sun and his clothes becoming white like light. And when they also saw the two prophets of the Old Testament, Moses and Elijah, and heard the voice of God through the cloud assuring them that this is his beloved Son, in whom he is completely pleased, and whom we must listen to people.
