Festivities at the "Holy Cross" Hellenic College of Bostontranslated

Students, members of the teaching staff, friends and graduates of the Hellenic College "Holy Cross" Boston (HCHC), attended the events for the celebration of the World Exaltation of the Holy and Living Cross. On the evening of Sunday, September 13, 2026, a Grand Solemn Vespers of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was held under the patronage of the Most Reverend Archbishop of America Mr. Elpidophoros.

This was followed by the traditional ceremonies of the Crusade and the Rosary, by the Reverend Mr. Elpidophoros, marking the entry of the students into new stages of their ecclesiastical and academic career.

At the Chapel of the Holy Cross, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Pittsburgh, Mr. Savvas, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of St. Francis, Mr. Gerasimos, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chicago, Mr. Nathanael, the Most Reverend Bishop of Nazianzus, Mr. Athenagoras attended and participated in the awarding ceremonies. After the end of the Great Vespers, the Archbishop of America Mr. Elpidophoros delivered a speech about the "wisdom" of the Holy Cross emphasizing, among other things, that "if Wisdom is a Tree of Life, let's stop for a while...
