Archbishop Hieronymos of Thessaloniki: Memory, unity and hope the message for October 28translated

Memory, unity and hope was wished by the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Hieronymus from Thessaloniki immediately after the end of the great military parade. "My wish is that we have memory for those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. Unity because this has been the great strength of the Greek people in the most difficult moments of its history. Hope, because the message of October 28th does not belong only to the past but above all to the future that we must build especially for our children. I wish wholeheartedly that we honor the past with memory, face the present with unity and look to the future with hope. Happy birthday and blessings to everyone", said the Archbishop.
His Beatitude was attended earlier from the official platform by His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Ieronymos, together with the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Philotheo.
This year, His Beatitude graced with his presence the events in honor of the city's Patron Saint, Saint Demetrius, as well as the celebrations of the 114th anniversary of the liberation of Thessaloniki and the National Anniversary of October 28.
