The Inauguration of the Holy Cathedral of Saints Apostle and Evangelist Mark in Kinshasatranslated

The Inauguration of the Holy Cathedral of Saint Mark the Apostle and Evangelist in Kinshasa, presided over by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Kinshasa, Mr. Theodosios, took place on Sunday morning with particular splendor, ecclesiastical magnificence and deep rejoicing. His Eminence performed, in accordance with the ecclesiastical order and the prescribed formality, the holy Mass of Initiation, surrounded by a multitude of priests and deacons of the Holy Metropolis.

From the early hours of the morning, a multitude of believers had flooded the Holy Church and the surrounding area, in order to participate in this great ecclesiastical event and experience the joy and blessing of the Inauguration. For most of the parishioners it was a unique experience, which will remain indelibly etched in their memory.

Among those present was the President of the Greek Community of Kinshasa, Mr. Gerasimos Dounis, accompanied by his wife, doctor Mrs. Paraskevi Triantafillou-Dounis, as well as members of the Greek Community, who participated with particular emotion in this great day of the local Church.
