Start of classes at the School of Byzantine Music of the Metropolis of Florina, Prespa and Eordaiatranslated

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 7:30 in the afternoon, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Panteleimonos of Florina, the established Consecration will be held for the start of the Byzantine Music School of the Holy Metropolis of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia. The Consecration will be performed by the Most Reverend Metropolitan, Metropolitan of Floris, Prespa and Eordaia, Mr. Irenaios, who will then award the certificates and diplomas to the students of the previous academic year.

Men and women of all ages can enroll and study free of charge at the School, with the possibility of systematically learning the art of chanting and Byzantine Music, which are a valuable and integral part of our ecclesiastical tradition and the cultural heritage of our country.

After the ceremony will follow the first meeting of all interested parties with the professors of the School. During it, the course program will be presented and the students will be assigned to the classes, in view of the start of the new academic year.
