Condolence message to His Beatitude Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos was sent by His Beatitude the Patriarch of Bulgaria, Mr. Daniel, expressing his support to the Primate of the Zionist Church, and at the same time condemning the heinous act of terrorism. The message in detail:

It is with deep sadness and heartache that we learned of the bloody attack on the Orthodox Church of St. George in Hamoud, Karak Governorate, Jordan — an attack in which our brothers and sisters, who had gathered for an exodus procession, were killed or injured. It is especially tragic that people who came to say goodbye to a loved one—with prayer and the hope of resurrection—became themselves victims of a violent and heinous act.

We express our sincere condolences to the Eternal Beatitude, the bereaved families and the entire theophilic flock of the Church of Jerusalem. We share your grief and stand by your side in brotherly solidarity in this hard trial — a trial that causes pain to all of us, as members of the one Body of Christ.
