Nikodimos of Epidaurus in I.M. Metamorphosis of Burnt Vourlostranslated

Grand High Priest of Vespers of the Theophilist Bishop of Epidaurus, Mr. Nikodemos, assistant Bishop of the Blessed Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, etc. Hieronymus the Second, General Director of EKYO was held this evening at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery of SotirosAgia Kamena Vourlon, following the invitation of the relevant Pastor, His Eminence Metropolitan Fthiotidos Mr. Simeon. This was followed by the Grand Solemn High Priestly Vespers, in the presence of a large number of believers in the new Catholic of the Monastery dedicated to Saint Chrysostom of Smyrna and of the martyrs who were undone during the Asia Minor Catastrophe, due to the preservation and restoration of the historic Catholic of the Transfiguration.

Thank you for telling us about this evening. It is interesting that the service was held in a new church dedicated to Saint Chrysanthos of Smyrna and the martyrs - just during the restoration of the old one. And Bishop Nikodim’s sermon must have been very heartfelt, since so many people came.

Thanks for this story. It is interesting that in the new Catholicon, built in the name of St. Χρυσόστομος Σμύρνης and his companions, Esperinos is arranged while the old church is restored. The new church of St. Chrysostom of Smyrna and the co-martyrs is a really good idea, especially now that the old Catholic church is under construction. I liked that Bishop Nikodimos spoke about these Martyrs of Microsia, they remind us that the Church grows not only with celebrations but also with the cross.
