A friendly visit was made on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, to the Holy Pilgrimage of the Virgin Mary "Agia Sion" of Agiasos by the Reverend Metropolitan of Geron Chalkidon, Mr. Emmanuel. The Hierarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate had a meeting with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Mytilene, Mr. Iakovos and the Theophilus Bishop of Safitas Dimitrios, from the Patriarchate of Antioch.
