Dimitriados Ignatios: „Wir sind berufen, das Licht der Welt zu sein“übersetzt

Hochwürdiger Metropolit von Dimitrias, Herr Ignatios, im Beisein einer großen Zahl von Gläubigen. In seiner Predigt bezog sich Seine Eminenz auf das Vierte Ökumenische Konzil, das wir heute ehren, und betonte dessen Bedeutung für das Leben der Kirche, einerseits weil es die drei vorherigen bestätigte und andererseits, weil es über die menschliche und göttliche Natur Christi theologisierte, in deren Person beide nebeneinander existieren, ohne dass das eine das andere außer Kraft setzt.

„Auf diese Weise ist unsere Erlösung gewährleistet“, betonte Herr Ignatius, „da Christus die menschliche Natur angenommen und auferweckt hat und uns dazu aufruft, an seiner eigenen Auferstehung teilzuhaben.“

Als nächstes verwies er auf das Wort des Herrn in der heutigen Lesung des Evangeliums, wo „Christen dazu berufen sind, das Licht der Welt zu sein. Materielles Licht belebt und wärmt. Dank dessen gibt es Leben auf der Erde. Der Herr spricht jedoch vom spirituellen Licht, das unsere gesamte Existenz erleuchtet und zum Ausdruck unseres Lebens wird. Thanks for sharing this. I really liked how Metropolitan Ignatios connected the Fourth Ecumenical Council to our own hope of resurrection — that Christ took our full human nature and raised it without one nature overpowering the other. That part about being the light of the world hit home too; it’s not just nice words, it’s a daily call to actually live the faith so others can see it.

Mi-a plăcut cum a legat Mitropolitul Ignatios Sinodul al IV-lea de speranța noastră la Înviere – că Hristos a luat firea noastră omenească întreagă și a înviat-o fără ca una să o învingă pe cealaltă.
