With Greece as our host: A Philanthropic Concert from Hieromartyr Kalamaristranslated

A unique and dazzling musical evening was enjoyed by all participants in the great, central and philanthropic concert organized by the Holy Metropolitan of New Crete and Kalamaris on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Field of New Mechanias, with the blessings of the Very Reverend Archbishop Ioustinos. The top and internationally renowned interpreter of Greek popular music, Dimitris Vassilis, together with the distinguished interpreters Violita Ikari and Evi Koutsavaki, presented a special tribute to Greek melopoiied poetry, featuring beloved, emblematic and timeless songs that left an indelible impression and sealed the contemporary Greek musical creation.

A special presence at the evening was the multi-talented Youth Choir and Orchestra of the Holy Metropolitan, under the artistic direction of Hierodeacon Theodoulos Tsambazis. With their youthful enthusiasm and the members' performances, as well as with original choreographic arrangements, they enthused the audience, sharing the stage with the skilled interpreters of the evening.
