Event for the double celebration of Thessaloniki at the Society of Macedonian Studiestranslated

The Society of Macedonian Studies commemorates the National Anniversary of October 28, 1940, the memory of the Patron Saint of Thessaloniki Agios Dimitrios and the Liberation of Thessaloniki in a solemn event on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 19:00 in the Society's Lecture Hall. The solemn speech of the day will be delivered by Mr. Evanthis S. Hatzivasileiou, Professor of the Greek Academy of Sciences, General Secretary of the Foundation of the Hellenic Parliament for Parliamentaryism and Democracy on the topic: "Thessaloniki and the great Greek military victories". This will be followed by the announcement of the speaker as a Corresponding Member of the Society of Macedonian Studies.
