The Holy Monastery of Agios Ioannou Theologus Aetochori celebratedtranslated

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, our Church celebrated the transmigration of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian. The Holy Monastery of Agios in Aetochori celebrated in the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis. On Friday afternoon and until late at midnight, a Holy Vigil was held with Solemn Vespers, bread and butter, Orthro and Divine Liturgy officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis, Mr. Anthimos. The participation of the faithful was great, in an overwhelming and festive atmosphere and the cantors performed the tropes of the holiday exceptionally well.

On the day of the celebration of the festival, the Orthros and the Solemn Divine Liturgy were performed and then the litany with the icon of the Saint took place in the courtyard area, around the monastery's catholicon.
