The Holy Diocese of Dimitrias honors the National Anniversary of October 28, 1940translated

With due splendor and solemnity, the Local Church of Dimitrias will once again commemorate the National Anniversary of October 28, 1940, paying tribute to the heroes who fought and sacrificed for the freedom of our Motherland. On Wednesday, October 28, at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos Volos, a solemn Divine Liturgy will be celebrated, while at 11.00 a.m. the official Doxology will be sung, presided over by Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados Mr. Ignatiou, in the presence of the political, military and other Authorities of the place.

Immediately after, His Eminence will go to the Monument of Heroes, on the beach of Volos, where he will celebrate Trisagio for the repose of the souls of the fallen, and then he will watch the student parade.

In the context of the celebration, it is recalled that today, Tuesday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m., a celebratory event will take place at the Spiritual Center of the Holy Metropolis of Dimitrias (K. Kartali - Anth. Gazi), in the presence of Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados Mr. Ignatiou.
