Pan-Hellenic Student Competition for Poster and Short Film Creation “160 Years from the Arcadian Volunteerism”translated

The General Directorate of Education, Worship, and Sports of the Ministry and the Holy Metropolitanate of Rethymnon and Alikanas organize a pan-Hellenic student competition for the creation of posters and short films (video) with the theme: "160 Years from the Arcadian Volunteerism" to commemorate the 160th anniversary of this historical event. Students/esses of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Gymnasium and Lyceum from all over Greece can participate individually in the poster competition or as individuals or teams of up to three people (for the video) under the supervision of a teacher until February 2, 2027. The winners will be part of an educational program that includes an educational visit to Arcadia and a consecration ceremony for the awarding of distinction titles.

The thematic field of the competition is the Arcadian Volunteerism on November 8-9, 1866. Specifically, students/esses are called upon to create a poster or a short film (video), inspired by one of the following personalities associated with the heroic sacrifice of the Holy Monastery of Arcadia during the Cretan Revolution against the Ottomans:
