Philotheos of Thessaloniki performed Consecrations for the new school yeartranslated

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the day school classes start, His Holiness Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Philotheos, performed the Consecration in Schools of Thessaloniki, with the participation of the local priests. His Holiness performed the Consecration for the beginning of the new school year at the school complex of the 19th Gymnasium and the 19th General Lyceum of Thessaloniki, at the Experimental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, at the private educational institutions "Apostolos Pavlos" and at the Arsakeia Educational Institutions of Thessaloniki.

In all the school units he visited, after the end of the Consecration, our Pastor wished a good and blessed year to the teachers, the students and the parents present.

To all the students and teachers the Metropolitan Mr. Philotheos gave as a blessing the icon of the Holy Three Hierarchs.

The Consecration Service was attended by representatives of the Greek Parliament, the Local Government and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as many parents and guardians of the students.
