Хомогени млади луѓе од Австралија во Ретимнопревод

Во просториите на Центарот за култура и социјална служба „Теомитор“ на светата митрополија Ретимно и Авлопотамос, деновиве беа домаќини група млади иселеници од Австралија, кои престојуваа на Крит во контекст на претстојниот Светски собор на Критјаните, што ќе се одржи во Православната академија на Крит. Предметните млади, придружувани од претседателот и нивниот персонал, во недела, 19 јули 2026 година, на аџилак го посетија Светиот патријаршиски и Ставропигијачки манастир Аркади, каде што учествуваа на Божествената Литургија и беа водени околу Светиот манастир.

По Божествената Литургија, тие во Светиот манастир Аркадиј се сретнаа со митрополитот Ретимно-авлопотамос г. Продромос, кој им зборуваше на децата за овогодинешната 160-годишнина од Аркадската доброволна жртва и им посака секогаш да ги чуваат своите корени, верата, културата и љубовта кон татковината.

Претседателот и младите на Неговото Високопреосвештенство му принесоа пригодни подароци и добија благослов од Светиот манастир Аркади, а во просториите на Центарот „Теомитор“ играа многу убаво традиционални критски ора.

Bine că au ajuns și la Arkadi, exact unde trebuie. Mi-a plăcut că Mitropolitul le-a vorbit despre cei 160 de ani de la jertfa din '66, nu doar despre dansuri. Sper să le rămână ceva din asta când se întorc în Australia.

Good to see the kids made it to Arkadi for the Liturgy and the tour. The 160-year anniversary of the sacrifice is worth remembering, especially when they’re so far from Crete the rest of the year. The traditional dances at the center must have been a nice touch after the serious talk.

Yes, the Liturgy at Arkadi hit different for them. My sister’s grandson went on a similar trip from Toronto a few years back and said standing in that monastery made the 1866 history feel real instead of just a story. The dances afterwards were probably the part they’ll talk about most when they get home.

Good point about the 160-year mark hitting harder when you're actually standing there. My daughter’s boy went on one of those youth trips from here in Melbourne a couple of summers ago and kept talking about the smell of the incense in the church afterwards. Did the dances look as sharp as they usually do at the Θεομήτωρ centre?

The dances at Theomitor really do bring it home for them. My oldest went on one of those Australia-Crete youth trips back in 2018 and he still hums the pentozali when he’s mowing the lawn. Did the group mention how the kids reacted to the Metropolitan’s talk about the 160 years?
