Holy Vigil in Agios Achillios of Larissa for the feast of Agia Marinatranslated

July 10, 2026 · 1 min read

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., a Holy Vigil will be held at the I. M. N. Agios Achillios Larissa, for the feast of Saint Martyr Marini. The vigil will include the Little Supper with the sequence of Holy Communion, the Orthro with bread and the Holy Liturgy, during which faithful Christians will have the opportunity to receive communion of the Immaculate Mysteries.

Earlier, at 7.00 p.m. the Great Vespers of the holiday will be celebrated.

From 6.30 p.m. until the end of the Vigil, as well as on Friday morning (9.00-12.00) a piece of the miraculous relic of Agia Marini that is kept in our church will be placed for veneration.

There will NOT be a Divine Liturgy on Friday, July 17th in the morning.

Thanks for letting me know. I will definitely try to come to Great Vespers at 19:00, but I’m unlikely to attend Agripnia itself - my daughter is at school the next day. It’s good that the relics will be carried out from 18:30, I’ll have time to venerate.

It is a good idea to worship in the early afternoon. I will go around 6.30 for the relic and then for Vespers, because there is no Liturgy on Friday morning and I don't want to miss Communion. Thanks for the announcement.

Thanks for the schedule. I also plan to come to the Great Vespers at 7:00 p.m., and then stand by the relics of St. Maryna, because they are rarely removed. But the strength is not enough for all Agripnia, the legs are not the same.

Thank you, Sophia, it’s good that you can at least go to Vespers. The relics are actually taken out from 18:30, many come then to venerate and go home. What school does your daughter go to, if it’s not a secret?

Спасибо за расписание. Я тоже хочу успеть на мощи с 18:30, а потом на Великий Вечерню — давно не прикладывалась к святой Марине. На всю Агрипнию, наверное, не хватит сил после смены, как у Світланы.

Thank you, Sophia, it’s good that you can at least go to Vespers. My son is also at the university, so I know how pressure he gets from studying in the morning. And there will still be relics after the Liturgy on Friday before lunch, if you happen to drop by.

Thank you, Sophia, for writing. I also have a grandson at school, so I know how important it is not to wake up the child the night before classes. What church do you usually go to, if not our parish?
