"As the Church of Cyprus, we declare that we will continue to support every effort that serves Greek education". This was emphasized by the Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. George, among others, during his greeting at the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus and the Church of Cyprus and the Ministry of Education, Religions and Sports (General Secretariat of Religions) of the Hellenic Republic and the Church of Greece. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus, the Memorandum was signed by Minister Dr. Athena Michailidou, on behalf of the Church of Cyprus, His Beatitude the Archbishop of Cyprus, Mr. George, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports of the Hellenic Republic, the Minister Ms. Sophia Zacharakis and on behalf of the Church of Greece, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Messinia Mr. Chrysostomos.
