Prime Minister K. Mitsotakis at the Pilgrimage of Saint John the Russian in Prokopitranslated

The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, went to the Pilgrimage of Saint John the Russian in Prokopi, Evia, yesterday, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, during his tour of North Evia.  Mr. Mitsotakis, after lighting a candle and worshiping the holy tabernacle of the Saint, was informed by Rev. Metropolitan of Chalkidos, Istiaea and Northern Sporades Mr. Chrysostomos for the history of the holy pilgrimage.

Agios Ioannis the Russian is one of the largest pilgrimages in the country, which is attended by pilgrims from Greece and abroad every day, while also being one of the leading Orthodox pilgrimage destinations worldwide.
