The annual priestly conference of the Metropolis of Sparta focuses on the priestly familytranslated

On the afternoon of Monday, September 28, 2026, at the "Esperides Estate" in Molaus, the annual General Priestly Conference of the Holy Metropolis of Sparta took place. The Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Efstathios, following last year's successful initiative, decided that the respected elders, who participate in the sacred struggle of the ministry of the clergy, should be invited again.

Before the start, a prayer was made by the sept Pastor, for the success of the purposes of the Conference. It was followed by the established Trisagio, for the repose of the souls of the sleeping priests during the previous year.

Afterwards, the preacher of our local Church, His Eminence Archimandrite Fr. Raphael Tsaltas, after welcoming the priests and elders, referred to His Eminence's constant interest in the clergy and their families, while inviting him to announce the opening of the Conference.

The Reverend Pastor in his welcome, after thanking all the participants for their willing presence, emphasized that the elders, with their silent companionship, patience, prayer and constant support, are an integral part of the priestly liturgy.…
