Metropolitan of Kilkisios: Through the Saints we reach Christtranslated

The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Polyanis and Kilkisios Mr. Bartholomeos presided over the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist which was celebrated in the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Kilkis on Sunday, October 4, 2026, on the occasion of the arrival of a fragment of the Holy and miraculous Relic of Saint Gerasimos Mikragiannanitos, the Hymnographer. The Holy Relic will remain in the above-mentioned Church as a permanent source of blessing, sanctification and illumination and comes to be added to the spiritual treasure that already exists in the Church, namely the Holy Relics of the Great Martyr Eugene of Trebizond, of Saint Anastasia of Rome, of Saint Nicholas of Plana, etc.
Speaking about the heard Gospel passage, the respected Pastor of Kilkis, emphasized the following: "With today's Gospel passage, our steps are led to the heart of the Christian life. Christ is not talking to us today about something easy. It calls us to love not only those who love us, but also those who make it difficult for us. To do good without expecting anything in return.
