With the permission and blessing of the Most Reverend Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Hieronymos, and after the invitation by the President of the Ecclesiastical Council of the Holy Monastery, Archim. Ioannikios Koulianopoulos, the Very Reverend Metropolitan Florinus of Prespa and Eordaia, Eireneios hierarchically celebrated the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in the Holy Church of Saint Sophia Neou Psychikou, during the final day of the Enoria's commemorative events. In the Archieratic Hierarchical Liturgy, clergy officiated, while a multitude of faithful participated prayerfully in the Eucharistic Assembly.

In his sermon, on the Gospel reading after the raising of the Holy Cross, our Metropolitan referred to Christ’s word “whosoever wills to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

He emphasized that Christ does not promise a life without trials and tribulations to man, but calls him to raise his personal cross with faith and trust. He highlighted that the cross, when lived in relation to Christ, does not lead to despair, but becomes a path of hope, salvation, and Resurrection.
