Slávnostné vešpery svätej Anny na poliach Geraki...preložené

V piatok 24. júla, v predvečer Usnutia svätej Anny, Matky Presvätej Bohorodičky, sa farár náš metropolita pán Andreas vybral do rovnomenného kostola farnosti Geraki v lokalite Gerakiani Lagada, kde slávil vešpery a požehnal obetované chleby. Náš ctihodný pastor vhodne prehovoril k preplnenému zhromaždeniu, odkázal na Život svätej Anny a zaželal veľa a požehnané roky množstvu veriacich, ktorí prišli na slávnosť. Darček okrem iných odovzdal starosta Minoas Pediados, pán Vasilis Kegeroglou.

The vespers at St. Anne's little church in Geraki sounded lovely. I always appreciate when the bishop speaks on the saint's life like that, especially since my girls and I just read about St. Anne together last week. Nice that the mayor came too.

Yes, the years of waiting and still trusting God really stay with you. My daughter mentioned the same thing last summer when we read it — she’s 14 now and said it made her think about her own prayers that feel unanswered. Did your son say anything else about it after?
