The feast of Agia Skepi and the anniversary of "NO" in Edessa and Aridaiatranslated

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the feast of the Holy Shroud of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the celebratory Holy Cathedral of Edessa, the service of Orthros, the solemn Divine Liturgy and the Doxology were held for the anniversary of the historical "NO" pre-eminence of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Edessa, Pelli and Almopia Mr. Ioel. The ceremony of the day was delivered by the Deputy Governor of Pella, Mr. I. Tsamtzis. This was followed by a memorial Deisis to the Hero of the city and the traditional Parade.

The holy clergy of the city participated, while the representatives of the state, political and military authorities, the security forces, education and local bodies were present.

On the same day, at the Holy Church of Saints Nikander and Ioannikiou of Aridaia, the Theophilus Bishop of Almopia Mr. Stefanos presided over the holy services and the Doxology in the presence of the representatives of the local authorities, performed the Memorial Service to the Hero of the city and watched the Parade.
