The Feast of the Synagogue of Panagia Myrtidiotissa in Halki of the Principalitiestranslated

The Synagogue of Panagia Myrtidiotissa was celebrated with splendor at the community Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos in Halki of the Principality Islands where the highly revered icon of Panagia Myrtidiotissa, which is a point of reference for the faithful of the island and of the Holy Metropolis of the Principality Islands, has been kept since ancient times. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Geron Prykiponnisos, Mr. Dimitrios, officiated at the solemn Vespers on Wednesday, September 23, and the following day, Thursday, September 24, presided over the Divine Liturgy, during which a baking ceremony was also held.

This was followed by a reception and festive community meal, which was blessed by the Pastor.

Besides, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Geron Prikiponnisos Mr. Dimitrios officiated at the Metropolitan Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios Prince on Sunday September 27, as well as on Sunday October 4.

On Monday, October 5, 2026, at noon, His Eminence received at the headquarters of the Metropolis a hundred-member delegation of the Athens Daily and Periodical Press Technicians Union (ETIPTA), led by Mr. Georgios Mylonas.
