The former Archbishop of America on September 11, 2001translated

The previously unimaginable events that took place on that glorious, weather-wise, morning of 9/11, exactly 25 years ago, have marked each of us individually, but also all together, the whole of humanity.

Those awesome photos with the planes "nailing" the World Trade Center Towers and them melting like candles shortly after, will follow us throughout our lives.
However, some people experienced these events, because of their positions, from much closer than the rest of us.
One of them was the then Archbishop Dimitrios, who did everything possible to encourage, console, and give hope to the relatives and friends of the expatriate victims of the disaster, and to all of Homogenia and Hellenism.
