The Archbishop of Cyprus George said on Thursday that we should preserve the Republic of Cyprus as the apple of our eye because it is our main support for liberation.

In statements after the parade for the anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Cyprus, in Nicosia, the Archbishop congratulated the participants of the parade and those helping to upgrade the National Guard.

He also said that we should also pay tribute to those who gave us the Republic of Cyprus and who brought it here.
