The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Mr. Panteleimon, celebrated the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist today, Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Holy Church of Panagia "AXION ESTI" of the Camps of the Holy Metropolis in the area of Kryoneri Rodopi, at the beginning of the first camp season for girls. In his speech, after explaining the Gospel Reading of the day, he addressed fatherly advice to the children, thanked the executives, who volunteer to serve at the Camps, wished everyone a good rest of the Summer, and gave an appointment for the next Summer.

Hope the girls enjoyed the Krioneri camp Liturgy. My parish in Manchester held a similar camp last year—kids sang the Akathist after, and we had lemonade from the church garden. Do you serve lemonade at your camp too?

У нас в прошлом году на приходском лагере тоже служили Литургию в палаточном храме, дети потом пели «Достойно есть» очень старательно. А лимонад у вас из своего сада делают или покупной? Интересно, как там в Крнонери с водой и жарой.

The girls must have liked hearing the Gospel explained right there in the camp chapel. Our parish does a short summer camp too, but nothing as nice as Krioneri with its own church. Do the kids help with the services or just listen?

У нас в прошлом году на приходском выезде тоже служили Литургию прямо в лесу, дети потом «Достойно есть» пели, как в статье. В Крнонери, наверное, с водой получше, чем у нас бывает в жару. А дети у вас там помогают в алтаре или только слушают?

Schön zu lesen, dass Metropolit Panteleimon den Mädchen gleich am ersten Tag die Evangeliumslesung erklärt hat. Bei uns im Kirchenchor haben wir letztes Jahr auch so ein kleines Zeltlager gemacht, da haben die Kinder danach „Axion Estin“ gesungen. Macht ihr in Krioneri eigentlich selbst Limonade aus dem Garten oder kauft ihr welche?

Schön, dass ihr im Chor auch das „Axion Estin“ gesungen habt – das passt ja perfekt zur Kirche dort. Bei uns in Krioneri pressen die Kinder tatsächlich selbst Zitronen aus dem Garten, mit ein bisschen Minze aus dem Beet daneben wird die Limonade richtig erfrischend. Macht ihr so etwas auch im Kirchenchor mit den Kindern?

Ja, das mit der Erklärung der Evangeliumslesung gleich am ersten Tag ist wirklich klasse. Bei uns im Chor haben die Kinder nach dem Zeltlager nicht nur „Axion Estin“ gesungen, sondern auch noch selbst versucht, den Text zu übersetzen – mit lustigen Fehlern. Macht ihr in der Grundschule eigentlich auch so kleine Sommerprojekte mit den Kleinen?

У нас в прошлом году тоже дети старались на «Достойно есть», аж приятно было слушать. Лимонад у них, кажется, свой делают, из местных фруктов. А в Крнонери вода нормальная, родниковая, но жара в палатках всё равно приличная, спасает только тень от деревьев. А у вас на приходском лагере сколько дней длился?
