The Ministry of Culture is giving a new impetus to the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage of Samos with the start of the restoration work of the Holy Church of the Assumption in Karlovasi and the return to the public of two important monuments of the island: The post-Byzantine church of Ai Giannakides in Ano Vathi and the Early Christian Cemetery in Pythagoreio. The interventions, with a total budget of more than 10 million euros, are financed by the National Development Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Recovery and Resilience Fund, strengthening the cultural identity of Samos and confirming the constant priority of the Ministry of Culture for the protection, restoration and promotion of the island's monuments, for the benefit of the local community and its cultural development.

To je dobrá zpráva, hlavně ta obnova Panagie v Karlovasi po tom zemětřesení. Doufám, že se jim podaří opravit ty vážné škody pořádně. Ty dva vrácené památky v Ano Vathy a Pythagoriu jsou taky fajn, aspoň je lidé zase uvidí.

Рада бачити, що відновлення Панаґії в Карловасі нарешті стартувало після того землетрусу. Добре, що виділили понад 10 мільйонів і повернули людям Ай-Яннакіса в Ано Ваті та ранньохристиянське кладовище в Піфагоріо. Сподіваюся, роботи зроблять якісно, щоб храми служили ще довго.

Рада, що роботи нарешті почалися в Карловасі, після того землетрусу храм дійсно потребував серйозного ремонту. А от щодо Ай-Яннакіса в Ано Ваті — цікаво, чи планують там відновити іконостас, бо востаннє він виглядав досить потертим. Сподіваюся, все зроблять добротно, щоб і наші нащадки могли молитися в цих місцях.
