Representatives of Orthodox Churches to the Patriarch of Georgiatranslated

A delegation of Orthodox Church representatives was welcomed by the Patriarch of Georgia Mr. Sio III at the headquarters of the Patriarchate in Tbilisi. This visit takes place in the context of the festive anniversary events for the 1700 years of Christianity in the country.  The delegation consisted of: Theofil. Bishop of Mareotis, Mr. Damascenes (Patriarchate of Alexandria), Rev. Metropolitan of Philippopolis, Mr. Niphon (Patriarchate of Antioch), Panier. Metropolitan of Kiti Mr. Nektarios (Church of Cyprus), Rev. Metropolitan of Didymoteicho, Orestia and Soufli Mr. Damascene (Church of Greece) and Theophilus. Bishop Souprasl Mr. Andreas.

A delegation from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was also present, represented by Rev. Metropolitan of Ternopol and Kremenets Mr. Sergios, Rev. Archbishop Sushmk Mr. Job and their entourage.

During their addresses, the Hierarchs conveyed the heartfelt fraternal greetings of their Primates to the Patriarch of Georgia and in his person to all the people of Georgia for this important anniversary.
