The speaker will be lieutenant general e.a. Alcibiades Stefanis, Political Commander of Mount Athos, who will develop the importance of religious diplomacy and the special role played by Mount Athos as a timeless center of Orthodoxy, spiritual radiation and international relations.

Alcibiades Stefanis was born in Athens and graduated from the Evelpidon Military School. He served, among others, in Evros and Eastern Aegean units, while he carried out higher military and academic studies in Greece and the USA, obtaining a Master's Degree in Security Strategies from the National Defense University in Washington. He commanded important military formations, including the XXIII Armored Brigade in Alexandroupoli and the 3rd Army Corps, and served as Chief of the Army General Staff.
