Polyhieratic Vespers for St. Efstathio and the Names of Rev. Our Metropolitantranslated

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, our Church honors the memory of the Holy Great Martyr Efstathios, the wife of Theopistus and their children, Agapios and Theopistos. This day is particularly joyous for the Holy Metropolis of Monemvasia and Sparta, as the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Efstathios conducts his septs. On the afternoon of Saturday, September 19, at the Metropolitan Church of Evangelistria in Sparta, the solemn Polyhieratic Vespers was held with baked goods. In the Holy Metropolis, a fragment of the holy relics of Saint Eustathius is kept, which was placed in veneration, for the blessing and strengthening of the holy clergy and our pious people.
