The Bishop of Tamisos discussed with representatives of the Ministry of Culture the plans for the construction of new holy placestranslated

On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, His Grace Bishop Panaretos of Tamis, Patriarchal Exarch of Lithuania, met with the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, Lina Baublienė, and the Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Vidmantas Bezaras (Vidmantas Bezaras). The meeting was also attended by Protopresbyter Fr. Vitalijus Mockus, Protopresbyter of the Patriarchal Exarch of Lithuania, Protopresbyter Fr. Vladimiras Seliavko, Director of the "Koinonia" Foundation, which was established for the construction of a church, as well as the advisors of the Patriarchal Exarch, Mrs. Evelina Evelina Paulavičienė on social issues and Mr. Rimantas Jonynas on legal issues.

During the meeting, two important future projects of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Lithuania were discussed: the construction of a new Orthodox church and, as a separate initiative, the creation of a monastic complex that will also include a care unit for the elderly.
