The Inauguration of I.N. Agios Dimitrios Upper Grammar School of Pellitranslated

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Floris, Prespa and Eordaia Mr. Irenaios went to the Upper Grammar School of Pelli, where he performed the Inauguration of the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios. The MPs of Pella were present. Theodora Tzakri and Mr. Vasilios Vassiliadis, the Mayor of Edessa Mr. Ioannis Tsepkentzis as well as a large number of believers from the Upper Grammar School and the wider area, who came to participate in this special Mass for the local church community.

As part of the Procession, the procession of the holy relics took place around the Holy Church. These are fragments of holy relics of the Holy Sabbatean and Sinaitic Fathers, as well as of the Holy Infants, deposed under Herod, which were then placed in the Holy Altar according to the prescribed ecclesiastical order.

Throughout the Inauguration ceremony, Pastor Mr. Irenaios explained to the congregation the rites and the theological symbolism of the individual acts of the Congregation, giving the faithful the opportunity to watch and understand more deeply the content of the consecration of the Holy Church and the Holy Table.
