The Ministry of Culture enriches the Collections of the Theater Museum with the historical archive and the costumes of the "Ties"translated

The Ministry of Culture, through the Directorate of Visual Arts, Architecture, Photography and Museums of Contemporary Culture, completed the acquisition process of the important collection and archival material of the Non-Profit Company "Center for Research and Practical Applications of Ancient Greek Drama", with the distinctive title "Links". The organization "Desmoi", which was founded by Aspasia Papathanasiou and operated under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, was a point of reference for the study, theoretical research and dissemination of ancient Greek drama in Greece and abroad. The collection acquired constitutes a single and unique whole, which reflects the modern reception of the ancient drama and is a primary historical source for theatrical creation.

The acquisition of the Archive of "Bands" by the Ministry of Culture is part of the systematic works for the housing of the Library-Archive of the Theater Museum at the property at 47 Stadiou Street, as well as the other Collections of the Theater Museum at 260 Piraeus.
