The Metropolitan of Rethymnon consecrated the new Municipal Nursery School of Panormostranslated

Pre-school education services and the support of young families are strengthened by the new Municipal Nursery School of Panormos, with a capacity of 80 children, the consecration of which took place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Its creation responds to the increased demand for accommodation places, as the existing municipal structures had filled their available places and parents were still looking for a place for their children.

The consecration was performed by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos, with the participation of Father Ioannis. The event was attended by the Mayor of Mylopotamos, Mr. Georgios Klados, the Deputy Regional Governor for Transport and Communications of the Region of Crete, Mr. Michael Sarris, the Deputy Mayors, Mr. Zacharias Ladianos, Mr. Iosif Voukalis and Mr. Anna Rasoulis, and the President of the Municipal Community of Panormos, Mr. Vogiatzoglou Georgios, as well as the director of Hotel Grecotel Marine Palace & Aqua Park Mr. Georgios Kotsifis.
