Synodical Circular for the 2026 Census in Australia: "To declare that we are GREEK ORTHODOX"translated

On Tuesday 11 August 2026, the Census of Population and Housing will be conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. The Census, which takes place every five years, records every person and household in Australia to gather information to help plan for health care, transport, schools and infrastructure. This information is also used to plan local services for individuals, families and communities.

The Census, which is compulsory under Australian Law, includes questions on many topics such as the age, country of birth, cultural background, living conditions, work and education of those enumerated. Personal data is protected by Law and the Australian Bureau of Statistics does not share it with any third party or other government agencies.
