Giannouli honors Saint Gregory Kallidestranslated

The Parish of Agios Georgios Giannoulis will celebrate and honor Agios Grigorios Kallides, Koumpagiotis, on July 25. Giannouli honors Saint Gregory, because the refugees from Kumbao (Chrysabello) in Eastern Thrace, started from their ancestral homes together with Saint Gregory and came to Greece. Agios Grigorios stayed in Thessaloniki and Koumbagiote families settled in Giannouli. From 2022, a fragment of the Holy Relic of Saint Gregory of Kallides, from Thessaloniki, is located in the Church, by the actions of our Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Ieronymos.

The sequence schedule is as follows:

On Friday, July 24, at 7:30 pm, the Solemn Vespers will be celebrated with Artoklassia.

On Saturday, July 25, in the morning, the Orthros and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in honor of the Saint.

Mulțumesc pentru știre. Interesant cum familiile din Koumbaio au venit cu Sfântul Grigorie și s-au așezat exact în Giannouli, iar din 2022 avem și o părticică din moaștele lui în biserică. O să încerc să ajung la vecernie vineri seară, dacă termin lucrarea la timp.

Hvala na vesti. Lepo je što su Kumbagijoti doneli sa sobom i svog svetitelja kad su se skrasili baš u Giannouli, a od 2022. imamo i deo moštiju u crkvi. Pokušaću da stignem na večernju u petak, posle posla.

The story of those families carrying their saint with them from Koumbaio all the way to Giannouli really stays with you. Good to hear the relic has been there since 2022 thanks to Metropolitan Hieronymos. I'll try to make the Friday vespers myself if the garden doesn't keep me too late.
