Textbooks are turned into tools of expediencytranslated

As was natural and expected, what was legislated ahead of time regarding the marriage of same-sex couples, which indirectly signaled the possibility of adoption and the institutional establishment of a family in Greece, began to be implemented with the first and at the same time decisive tool, the education of young children.
By Apostolos V. Nicolaidis (Emeritus Professor EKPA - President of the Institute "Saint Maximus the Confessor")
The first steps are taken by the inclusion in two school textbooks of Primary Education of relevant reports, sometimes with images and artistic "pedagogical" questions, and sometimes with information, discussion, group work and providing information about the type of family of each of the children.
In the first one, in the Language lesson of the 2nd grade and in the thematic section "Who are the important loved ones around us", various family compositions are illustrated, including families with two fathers and families with two mothers. Then, after observation, the children are asked to comment on the pictures and answer the question: "Which picture does your own family look like the most" and draw it.
