Feast of St. John the Stranger in our Holy Metropolistranslated

Our Holy Metropolis rejoices and rejoices as Saint John the Stranger, the reformer of the Church of Crete, after the dark and harsh years of the Arab rule in Crete, was the vessel of God's election, starting from the village of Siva, (Southwest Crete of the Mesara plain), plowed Western Crete, building Monasteries and Churches and he chose to become an ascetic and end his life on earth, in Kavoussi, Falasarni area, today's Parish of Platanou, where his tomb is located, in the present homonymous holy pilgrimage.

Our Metropolitan of Kissamos and Selinos, Mr. Amfilochios, on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. he will officiate on Vespers in Kavoussi, Falasarana, where the tomb of St. John the Stranger is also located. During Vespers, a piece of the holy relic of Saint Therapont the Wonderworker will be placed for veneration.
