High Priestly mass in Perama, Municipality of Mylopotamos for the feast of Agios Dimitriostranslated

On Monday, October 26, in the morning, a high priestly mass was held in the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos in the Municipality of Mylopotamos, on the occasion of the feast of Agios Demetrius, but also of the pilgrim arrival of the holy icon of Panagia Soumela and fragments of the holy relics of Agios Demetrius of Myrovlytis.

The Reverend Metropolitan of Veroia, Naoussa and Campania, Mr. Panteleimon, co-officiating with the regional Reverend Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos, led the chant, presided over the celebrant and preached the divine word.

The local authorities were present, as well as the member of parliament for Rethymnon (PASOK) Mr. Manolis Chnaris and the benefactor of the place, businessman Mr. Georgios Siganos, who is active in the USA.

At the end, His Holiness Mr. Prodromos of Rethymno thanked the Metropolitan of Veroia and the President of the Panagia Soumela association for the great blessing of bringing this holy icon to the headquarters of the Municipality of Mylopotamos so that all residents have the opportunity to worship the Panagia of Pontos.
