In Athens Voliotes Hieropsaltes for the celebration of the Attica Hyeropsaltes Associationtranslated

An exceptional honor was reserved for the Local Church of Volos, by the Association of Chanters of the Attica Region, which on the evening of Wednesday 3/9 honored the Patron Saint Romanos Melodos in the Athens Cathedral. The Great Solemn Vespers was officiated by the Theophilus Bishop of Christoupolis Mr. Varnavas, Proto-Secretary of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, representative of the Blessed Archbishop Mr. Ieronymos, concelebrant of Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados Mr. Ignatiou. Representatives of the Government and the Parliament and a number of philosophic believers were present.

In the right lectern the Choir of the Association of Chanters of the Attica Region sang, under the direction of the President Mrs. Spyridonos Pavlakis, Protopsaltos and in the Left lectern the Choir of the Association of Chanters of the Holy Metropolis of Dimitrias "Holy John Koukouzelis" sang, under the direction of the Protopsaltos of of the Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen of Volos, Mr. Dimitrios Hatzigeorgiou. Both Choirs performed excellently the hymns of the Order of Saint Romanos, creating a mesmerizing, but also overwhelming musical feast.
