Reception of the miraculous Icon of Panagia Rovelista in the celebrating parish of Sykeon Artistranslated

With ecclesiastical splendor, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in the afternoon, the Great Vespers of the feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior was celebrated, in the celebratory Holy Church of the Transfiguration, of the Parish of Sykeon Arti, under the patronage of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Arti, Mr. Kallinikos. Before the start of Vespers, the miraculous Icon of Panagia Rovelista was received, which the faithful had the blessing of worshiping during the Holy Service.

In his Sermon, His Holiness pointed out that "in Tabor the destiny of man is revealed", pointing out that man is called to become a partaker of the Divine grace and the uncreated Light of God.

At the end of Vespers, the procession of the Holy Icon of the Transfiguration took place, with the participation of the Holy Clergy and faithful.
