Honorary Memorial Event: "Hippocrates in the State of God"translated

In memory of Professor Panagiotis Dimakakos, later Monk Loukas Vatopaidinos The Professor and Director of the 2nd Surgery Clinic of the Aretaio Hospital, Manousos Konstantoulakis, and the Assistant Professor of Anatomy-Physiology of the University of Western Attica, Evangelos Dimakakos, invite you to the honorary commemorative event "Hippocrates in the State of God", which will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in the Maginio Amphitheater of Areteio Hospital of Athens, with arrival time 17:00. The event is dedicated to the life, work and spiritual legacy of the late Professor of Vascular Surgery Panagiotis Dimakakos, who, after his retirement from the University, became a monk at the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, taking the name Loukas.

It is a tribute to the scientist, the teacher and the man who dedicated his life to healing, knowledge and giving to fellow man. His contribution to Vascular Surgery and the training of young doctors, as well as his subsequent solitary path, compose a path in which scientific devotion met with faith, humility and selfless ministry.…
