Ordination of an Elder in the Pilgrim I.N. Saints Cyril and Methodius of Thessalonikitranslated

On Saturday, August 1st, His Holiness the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Philotheos, officiated at the Pilgrimage Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius on the Advancement of the Holy Cross and the memory of the Holy Seven Maccabees, Solomon their mother and Eleazar their teacher. During the Divine Liturgy, the Ordination to Elder of the Hierological Deacon Father Lambros Krommidas, a married clergyman, philologist and theologian, took place. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Velestinos, Mr. Damaskinos, was present at Agios Vima praying together.

Before the ordination ceremony, Father Lambros read his ordination speech before the reverent congregation. Afterwards, our Bishop admonished the deacon to be ordained with fatherly love and preached the divine word.
