Emrat e Mitropolit Athenagoras të Belgjikës në Brukselpërkthyer

On Friday, July 24, 2026, the day on which our Holy Church honors the memory of Saint Athenagoras of Athens the Apologist, the Holy Metropolis of Belgium, Exarchate of the Netherlands and Luxembourg, celebrated with splendor the names of its Pastor, His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium. On the morning of the name day, a solemn High Priestly Divine Liturgy was held in the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Grand Archdiocese of Brussels, presided over by the celebrating Venerable Metropolitan of Belgium Mr. Athenagoras.

The Most Reverend Bishop of Apollonia, Mr. Joakim, officiated, while clergy from the entire Metropolitan Region participated, as well as the Archdeacon of His Eminence, Father Panteleimon Bakalis.

The sacred hymns of the feast were performed by the cantors of the Metropolitan Church, while a large number of believers from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg came to participate in the Divine Liturgy and express their heartfelt wishes to their Spiritual Father.
