Kastoria honors its Patron Saint and Liberator, Agios Minas – The program of the celebrationstranslated

Kastoria will honor the memory of the Patron Saint and liberator of the Holy Great Martyr Minas and the anniversary of the liberation of the city, on November 10 and 11, 2026. The celebrations will begin on Tuesday, November 10, with the Great Solemn High Priestly Vespers at the Holy Church of Panagia Mouzeviki - Agios Minas. On Wednesday November 11, the day of the feast, the Orthros and the Solemn High Priestly Divine Liturgy will be celebrated, while the procession of the Holy Icon and the Holy Relics of Agios Minas to the Holy Metropolitan Church will follow.

At 11:00 a Doxology will be held for the anniversary of the liberation of Kastoria, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinou A. Tasoula. In the afternoon, the Solemn Vespers will be celebrated and will be followed by the return of the Holy Icon of Agios Minas to the Holy Church of the same name, with the participation of cultural clubs and the Philharmonic of the city, as well as a torchlight procession through the squares and the main streets of Kastoria.
